this could possibly be the biggest thing that will ever happen to me. my big break, even. just a few hours ago i had the privilege of seeing a real life monster up close and personal. now, i failed to actually capture this beauty on video, but i promise everything i am about to discuss truly happened.
9/09/2010: right, so portland loves to boast about how different it is. "keep portland weird" and all that. part of me resents that b/c it kind of obscures how strange the entirety of the pnw is? the woods around this whole area tend to get a bit quriky at night, it's not just the streets of portland.
you all know how passionate i am about marvelous mysteries and bewildering beasts. how i have been yearning for an indisputable encounter my whole life. well, friends, it's finally happened. tonight may have been the most important night of my career, nay my life. after a rousing viewing of a local streetcam (which i will discuss in a separate blog post) my new friends and i decided to do a little espionage. okay so it wasn't really espionage.. i called up a local uhhh birthday party wizard? who works with the police? and he just immediately told me exactly where they were going and what they were following. he was convinced that our town had a vampire infestation, but according to the footage we retrieved from that camera it was definitely a ufo (again i'll get to this later). either way it totally promised to be of the utmost importance that we (i) find this thing.
anyway. we hit the road and drove until we caught up with this police squad and magician. so, we're driving down this forested road three in a line. oh yeah i forgot to mention. there was this old guy driving between us? i really don't know what his deal was i think he was just a random bystander. one of those real mundane 9-5 worker everyman guys. the poor guy ended up sandwiched between us and the cops for one reason or another; this will be important later. jk it's actually important right now!! this gigantic creature came out of nowhere and careened out of sky into that guy's car!
